Century House Albany NY | Kelly and Tony's Wedding
Kelly and Tony were fated to be together, when I first met them they seemed like lovers who had finally got together and who already understood how infinite Love is, that it extends not for our partners, but to our families and each other’s families. Family is super important to these two and it was without a doubt a big part of their day. But let me tell you how excited these two were to see each other. A first look that was filled with just EXCITEMENT, no nerves - well maybe a little bit but mostly just excitement. My favorite thing about weddings is the first look, the raw moment that happens and the pure happiness that just fills the entire space.
A day filled with love, excitement, surprises and good friends and family. What else could you ask more? Maybe some more delicious cake :-)
Century House Wedding | Latham NY | Laurel and Barb
These two have been waiting and waiting and WAITING for this day, with complicated situations barring the logistics of the event actually happening, it was FINALLY the day that these two got to tie the knot with each other. It was a beautifully happy day with these two beautiful women who just so badly wanted to be together and with each other. I don't know these two outside of them being together, but from what I've heard, they are the happiest they have ever been since they have been together, and all I wanted to do was document their happiness together. There was just so much love during this day. They were surrounded by family members who they wanted to share their day with, and the love that exuded the room was overwhelmingly heart warming. I'm pretty sure it was the perfect day for them, and i'm sure they'd want to do it again if they could!
Old Daly Inn at Crooked Lake House Wedding | Tamara + Luisa | Jay Zhang Photography
What a beautiful day. I couldn't say enough about how important family is to both Tamara and Luisa. Family means everything, and to these two, they both mean everything to each other. Their details were beautiful, their setting was beautiful, their ceremony was beautiful, THEY. WERE. BEAUTIFUL. I'll cut to the chase, Lots of crying, lots of laughing, and lots of loving.
Revolution Hall Troy NY | Karla + Brian's Wedding
I have to say that I cried a lot for their wedding, mainly because these two sweet, emotionally strong and kind-hearted people who work in bettering others and being considerate to others were having THEIR day taken care of and I felt very honored to have been a part of it. They could only be championed by the love that their family and friends and those who's lives they have affected showed them that day. I cried a little as they both held back tears when they saw each other at their first look, I cried a little as they said their vows and held hands on the alter, I cried a little as they did their first dance, and I cried a little when it was all over. It was a wonderful way to end my Wedding Season.
Altamont Manor | Alisha and Carl's Wedding
Alisha and Carl found me and knew that I was going to be the perfect match for their day. Little did I know, that they were the perfect match for me! These two were ready for their day, dressing to the nines and excited to see each other for the first time. There were tears, there were laughs, and there was lots of love.
Troy Kitchen + Riverfront Park Troy Wedding | Nikki + Reilly
Nikki and Reilly are so made for each other, Nikki is the type of woman who's always super enthusiastic and you can tell when her wheels are churning and she comes up with a plan in less than a minute. Reilly is the Cool, chill we're going to make it work type of person who would roll with however things are going. Nikki fires Reilly up, and Reilly settles Nikki down. On this day though, there was nothing that was going to keep the high of the feeling of finally celebrating the day with all their friends. They have been "Officially" Married for some long now, it was a day that they now get to share with their loved ones.
Schenectady City Hall Elopement | Sarah + Russell's Elopement
Sarah and Russell originally were both grew up here on the east coast, but their studies and careers took them both to the west coast. Over the course of time, they met on the west coast and moved back together to the east coast where I was honored to do their elopement in Schenectady City Hall. It was a rainy day, but it was a perfect day. I was even honored as being a witness! The amount of feels that I got probably couldn't be quantified enough by words. Just take a gander!

Emerson Park Engagement Auburn NY | Kristen + Rick's Engagement
I got to travel to Auburn NY, super cute small town out in West New York and shoot Kristen and Rick's Engagement photos! It was one of the best mornings I've ever had getting to photograph a wedding for some friends of mine. It was a breezy Sunday Morning but it was one of the nicest mornings being so close to the Lake. The Sunrise was gorgeous and the day was amazing. I can't wait for their Wedding at the Spring Side Inn!
Peebles Island Engagement | Nikki + Reilly's Engagement
FALL IS MY FAVORITE and these two were OWNING their Engagement shoot like a BOSS. PLUS we had an adorable sidekick along with us who just wanted to explore! There were lots to see and lots to do and beautiful colors all over. I can't wait for their wedding at the Troy Kitchen!
Birch Hill Castleton-On-Hudson | Mike and Adrian's Wedding
It was a good day for a Wedding. They started the day, getting ready with each other, slowly putting together the details of their day attire on and getting ready for portraits. They were getting married in STYLE. We walked around right around the State Capital and Plaza to create gorgeous photos of them in their massively stylish outfit. When it was time to get to the venue, everything was falling into place. We also were doing some Shenanigans with the Wedding Party before the Ceremony... You'll just have to scroll to see the ridiculousness!
Mohawk River Country Club Wedding | Angela + Steve
The day started off sunny, and full of activities, finishing out last minute changes and ironing out the details. It was quite the adventure, an adventure that Angela and Steve will talk about for years to come. Between setting the table charts, hair and make up, writing up the final words to the vows, and laughing in excitement and nervousness, It was perfect for Angela and Steve. They were so into each other, and so made for each other, I couldn't stop thinking how this sweet and wonderful woman, was marrying this chivalrous and respectable man. It was a perfect day.
Katie + Cam's Wedding
The days leading up to their wedding were filled with excitement, with family flying in, and making details and going over the logistics and it was finally here! Katie and Cam were getting married and I NEED to show you their day because its a story of two people who were destined to be together, not because it was uncontrolled, but by choice and through love. They could not have been more made for each other, and I am always so grateful to find clients who always love spending time together.
Sophia + Brad's Wedding Day
What I've noticed about all of my couples is that they were fun loving, happy, and completely in love. These two were no exception...
Nichole + Sean's Wedding Extravaganza
The day couldn't have been more full of activity than this wedding, people were all excited to see the Bride in her full get up before the ceremony. We were trying to get people away from the hotel door all morning while taking tons of Getting Ready Photos and details. When it came to the first look, Sean was excited, he couldn't wait to see her, in her dress, all made up. Nichole couldn't wait to see him, his beaming smile and his infectious laugh. They loved each other for years already, you could tell by the way the joked with each other, by the way they laughed with and at each other, and by the way they both go into full damage control mode when things didn't seem to go as expected. They can do anything together, I know this for a fact, because I've seen these two go to it. Check out the day with them!
Angela + Steve's Engagement Session
Angela and Steve are getting Married soon! These two are super easy going and they play off each other so adorably. Him with his witty and charming charisma and her with her sweet and down to earth nature, we had so much fun. We went through a stroll through the park and to the State Capitol Park and they just couldn't keep their hands to themselves! They were attempting to dip, So it was only natural for me to teach them a proper dip from my Ballroom Dancing Days, Check out how they did!
Sofia + Brad's NYC Engagement Session
If anyone knows me, they would know that I love a good adventure. I got to shoot an Engagement for Sofia and Brad in NYC! Although it isn't quite an adventure for me since its somewhere I'm familiar with, it was an adventure filled with lots of laughs, lots of flirting and lots of walking. Neither I or Sofia and Brad are unfamiliar with NYC so I wanted to create photos that captures their personalities, their relationship with each other, and the place where they live and love. Check out my favorites from this session and tell me which ones were yours!
Typical Wedding Day Timeline
The Wedding day goes by real fast. If you haven't already heard this, you will eventually hear this for the 11th-teenth time, yes I know that isn't an actual word but you get the point.
There is a ton of truth to this and thinking about your wedding day timeline is as important as picking out your venue and picking out your photographer! I will take you through a typical Wedding Day Timeline with Jay Zhang Photography to help the newly engaged couples plan out their day with their photographer.
Nichole + Sean's Engagement
When it came time to do engagement photos of just them, I could tell that they have so much fun with each other all the time. No matter how rough the days go, I can tell that at some point, someones going to make a silly face so silly, that it'll make the other laugh at how ridiculous it is. Enjoy some of my favorites from this session!
