Portland Maine Wedding | Sam and Jeremy | Jay Zhang Photography

Sam and Jeremy are such Sweet people, low key, chill and always thinking about their loved ones - Even on their own wedding day! They honestly just wanted to celebrate their day in the least resistance and more relaxed way possible, and FOR SURE it was a success. They would do anything for each other and have been with each other through some good times and some hard times and whatever waves may come crashing on their shores, they are ready to weather it together (CUE The cheesy alert). But Seriously though, Portland Maine where they live, at a BREWERY with Family, LOWKEY drinks and dancing all night, and an after party at a pub. If this doesn’t say Sam and Jeremy, I don’t know what does!

The day started pretty easy going, make up being applied, family encouraging Sam, Detail photos of her beautiful dress and shoes. When it came time to have her get in the dress with her mom, first look with dad and reading the letter, there were just emotions flying all over the place. After we took some beautiful window photos of Sam, it was time to head off to meet Jeremy at the Ceremony site.

The Ceremony was going to be an intimate one, immediate family members and their wedding party (which consisted of siblings) right at the park with the lighthouse as their backdrop, the day couldn’t be more GORGEOUS. I took Jeremy to a remote location in the park to have him read his letter privately and take some photos and then it was time for ceremony.

At any Ceremony, I don’t think I’ll ever get over seeing Mom’s and Dad’s cry while their kids are getting married, it just gets to me in a way that trembles my core: the realization that their kids are going to be happy, and going to take care of each other and they are going to be okay together. Its all that and more.

When it comes down cocktail and reception time, there were lots of smiling faces ready to party. It got packed real quick! There were plenty of photos of people that were taken that I might not have shared on this blog for sake of keeping people from feeling embarrassed but rest assured, everyone had a great time and there were plenty of laughs to be had all night.
