Norah and Nick had to change their plans a MILLION times, and this was not unusual for couples in 2020 during the entire year. They were struggling to figure out what to do, from Glen Sanders to Renaissance Hotel to now to On-site Vendors on a Property that they finally were able to purchase and call their own. The day started with both of them in separate locations, Norah at her Mom’s home in Averill Park, and Nick on the property of where their wedding ceremony and reception would be held. Norah was BEAUTIFULLY beaming, she was excited, but also a little nervous. She was hoping the day would go smoothly, and that everything would work out. Let me tell you that when she told me her plan and everything was thought about, I had NO DOUBTS that things would be fine, I didn’t even give any suggestions because her plan was fool proof. I obviously didn’t say that last part outloud because I didn’t want to be the one to jinx it, but really though, it was unjinxable.
We had mom help her with her dress and Nick and Norah had letters that they both had written out to each other for each of them to read when they finished getting ready. Talk about laughs and tears right before the ceremony Oh boy! When we got her girls to get into their dresses we set up a first look to wait for a big reveal of her dress. They anxiously turned around to a beautiful Norah, and they couldn’t help but feel completely ecstatic for her. They all had letters that they wanted her to read too, but my sadistic mind suggested that they all read their letters to her one by one. This was obviously a great and special moment for her as each letter welled up a lot of emotional reactions from the bond that all of them shared.
Nick was all ready when Danielle arrived to the venue and he was mostly calm, a little nervous but excited to get the day going. It didn’t take long before I had arrived and things were almost ready to start. MY GOODNESS when I arrived, everything was BEAUTIFUL - see Norah? I knew things were going to be perfect. Linda Smith of Your Day Your Way perfectly nailed down Norah’s Vision and things couldn’t have been any better.
The Ceremony was sweet and the light was just beautifully shining on everything, which allowed everyone to really see the glow of these beautiful love birds. THEN let loose the party people because these people REALLY KNEW how to enjoy themselves. I wish there was more because I just wanted to party with everyone else there! The day wrapped up with a BEAUTIFUL Golden Sunset and Sparklers and I remember touching base with Norah at the end and saying “I had no doubts that this was going to be a perfect day”.
