LET ME TELL YOU A STORY.
So if anyone knows me, knows that I am on time if not early so I like to get myself presentable and head on out to the venue as soon as possible. Little did I know, that I needed to run an ERRAND this particular day! I get a phone call asking for a favor, apparently… the couple was already at the venue, but the groom forgot his dress shirt in the apartment in Albany. Good thing I was ready to go! So I decided to drop by Downtown Albany and pick up the dress shirt, no fuss, no muss, Thank goodness for good roommates and landlords!
So once I picked up the dress shirt, I could already tell that everyone felt a lot better and more at ease based on the tone of their voices. I arrived, and dropped off the Dress shirt and Carl had the BIGGEST sigh of relief. Felicia, was VIBBIN’ all morning, doing her own make up and getting her hair touched up and I knew this was going to be a good day. Outside of the dress shirt for Carl, he wasn’t nervous per say, more so Excited.
The special thing about these two (Much like Kat and Kevin) is that they wanted to see each other at the same time, THE BACK TO BACK FIRST LOOK - My Favorite on TOP of my Favorite! You could tell that once they were in place and the tension was building, they were just a little nervous, but MOSTLY Excited! I teased them a little more, making them wait a little longer before I finally let them turn around. In True Felicia form, the biggest gasp and laugh and the biggest smiles from both of them. We were ready for some portaits
I LOVE these two, they are happy and mushy and reflective and kind and compassionate. You can TELL there are a MILLION Emotions coming through in their portraits as I let them be in the moment with each other. The looks they give each other, the subtleties of when they admire each other from top to bottom, when they stare and time just slows down in a bubble around them, and the SILLY FACES AND SHOULDER BOPS that make themselves laugh.
When it was coming time for the ceremony, you could tell that this was going to be a FUN crowd, the energy surrounding the loved ones was just amazingly bubbly and exciting, I was getting into the VIBE. They did not have a wedding party so the impact of the officiant coming down and then immediately following THEY walked down the aisle, I could see the emotions WELLING inside of Felicia as they approached closer and started seeing the loved ones on each side of the Aisle. I could blog about them all day but I’m going to let the photos tell the rest of this part.
The rest of the evening was so FUN and FUNNY and Heart warming, and THEY had Culture Specific Food and omg let me tell you. I LOVE ME SOME GOOD GUYANESE FOOD. I WANT TO DO THIS WEDDING OVER AGAIN. Pleaseeeee?!
