This Winter Wedding was supposed to be the type of wedding that people would talk about - AND BOY was this a freaking crazy story! The night before, I come into town to stay the night at the hotel so that things would be smooth sailing on the day of - Fast forward to me driving down the interstate hours before a major snow storm trying to safely make it to the venue. Thankfully, I made it with close to half an hour before i start to see flurries out the windows.
I check in on Chelsea and she informs me that I am the only original Vendor to be making it to her day tomorrow (minus the venue and catering of course). Now we’ve been chatting the last two days about this possibility and that I VOWED that I would make it down for her and I did. So we were going to make this work, and Chelsea, a planner with Plan B was able to last minute hire vendors that she needed to make her day happen. I MEAN TALK ABOUT A SNOW STORM, Ice on the roads and up and down I87. #SnowStormHarley was NOT a nice storm.
Fact of the matter is, the show must go on - The Snow stopped in the early morning, Grandview was amazingly accommodating in making sure she got what she wanted, they even shoveled a little bit of their outside for some really amazing outdoor photos in the snow (chilly, but worth it). Even I took a calculated risk in hiring an amazing photographer in the general area who I adore! (Thanks Deirdre!) Things work out, because at the end of the day, you’re going to be married to your best friend.
Oh, and these two? They can party, so can their guests. It was amazing. Sometimes I think Joe’s the crazy energetic one who is going to pull the grand stunts, and then CHELSEA does something amazing. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Father/Daughter dance get this crazy and it was THE BEST THING I’ve EVER SEEN. These two def meant for each other and it must be an amazingly fun time in their household, they must always laugh so much together all the time.
